It began on a February Sunday in 1991! Can you believe that Shirley has been with us as our pianist/organist/choir director since then! Most of that time was without pay. She volunteered to be here every Sunday! How many of us are willing to take a job that requires our attendance every Sunday?
Shirley says, ” It is time for me to move on!” “It is time for me to leave The Chapel.” Shirley has not only shared music with us for 20 plus years, she has shared with us her grace. Thank you Shirley!
Well she is not getting away that easy…we have plans for her and you can be a part of that! Mark your calendars and bring your family and friends to help us worship God and celebrate Shirley on Sunday August 21, at 11am.
Do you now, have you ever, or just wished to sing in the choir? Now is your time! Shirley will be here on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 for choir practice on Aug 3,10, and 17 in preparation for the 21st! Come to choir practice and help us Worship on 21st. This is your special way to say Thank You!
We will be collecting financial gifts for Shirley! Remember she has led us in some amazing praise and worship times, and has served us all for many years at her own expense. Let us make this gift something special. Let us make sure she knows how much we love her!
There will be a covered dish dinner following worship where we will continue our celebrating. Please bring a dish to share and spend some time with Shirley!
