These events, triggered by below freezing temps in the Atlanta area has not just affected The Chapel, it has affected thousand of people all over the United States. It has affected them financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
We at The Chapel have said over and over again that we are so very grateful, as things could have been worse. We are reminded each and every day that there are many who go without:
• Many that are hungry, they have little or no food.
• Many are cold, they have no heat, or worse yet, they have not even a blanket to keep them warm out in the elements, as they have no home.
• Many go without the touch of another human being as they are alone and frightened.
• Many anxious and worried as today they face disease and illness, and are not sure what tomorrow brings.
• Many that don’t know what love is.
We never know what tomorrow brings, but God’s promise is true…God will provide. And I believe God provides when we live out Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:
“I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you gave me clothes to wear. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you visited me.”
Let us not forget these words, not only when we find ourselves in the midst of trying times, but always…
