Fields Chapel welcomed our new Pastor Laurie Klingenberg as she preached her first service on July 7, 2024.

Rev. Laurie Klingenberg served East Cobb United Methodist Church as an interim Associate
Pastor from January 2024 through June 2024. She has served Kennesaw United Methodist
Church as the Associate Pastor from 2019 through 2023. She has also served as Pastor in Charge
at Mt. Pleasant UMC in Rome, and Director of Congregational Care at Villa Rica First UMC.
Laurie graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Technology
(Manufacturing) and Russian Studies. She then earned her Master of Divinity from Candler
School of Theology. Laurie is married to Michael Klingenberg and they have two grown
children. She enjoys cycling, plants, and books. She is learning to sew and is usually engaged in
doing cross stitch or making prayer beads.
