CHRISTMAS CARING
Christmas caring is an opportunity for us to have a significant gift under the tree for Jesus. During the months of November and December we will be receiving your financial gifts that will be divided between the Prison Ministry and the Career Ministry. Your gifts to Jesus will help us be the hands and feet of Jesus. We will provide bibles and resources to those in prison and help those seeking a job to find one. What a great gift for many! What a way to be truly kingdom people.

CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Sunday, December 19 during Worship
During our worship on Sunday the 19th, our children will retell the Christmas story in a way only they can do! We will have a rehearsal for those who can attend, on Wednesday, December, 15 at 6:30pm. If your children can not attend, don’t worry, the program is designed in such a way that all children who attend on Sunday morning will be invited to join the program. Families will be asked to provide a costume for their child(ren) based on what role they will be playing. However, we encourage these costumes to be VERY simple. Anything you have around the house will work perfectly, even a sign that says what they are! We look forward to a great event! Contact: Rev. Anne Rex at pastor@fieldschapel.org

BLUE CHRISTMAS OR THE LONGEST NIGHT SERVICE
Tuesday, Dec 21, 6pm
Our guest for this service is Rev. Ken Cross, Director of the Atlanta -Marietta District Counseling Service. Rev. Cross brings a special expertise in dealing with the many issues that we face during the holidays.
Christmas can be a painful time for some. The constant refrain about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, reminds many people of what they have lost, or have never had. The anguish of broken relationships, the insecurity of unemployment, the weariness of ill health, the pain of isolation—all these can make us feel very alone in the midst of the celebrating and spending.
We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern, and to know that we are not alone. Our spirits sink, as days grow shorter and we feel the darkness deeper around us. We need encouragement to live the days ahead of us.
For those reasons Fields Chapel offers a special “Blue Christmas” or “Longest Night” service on Tuesday evening, December 21st at 6:00pm.
Come and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, scripture and music that acknowledge that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle—and that God’s Word comes to shine light into our darkness.

CARD MINISTRY
How many Christmas cards does your family receive each year? The boys at The Ranch don’t get many. But you can change that! Please take the list of boys names provided at The Chapel and write a personal Christmas card to each boy. Cards need to be at The Chapel, by Sunday morning, Dec 19.
JAMES HOUSE MINISTRY
The James House is a facility at The Ranch that provides space for tutoring and housing guests and work teams. The facility is built, however it needs to be furnished to meet the various needs.
