Christmas caring is an opportunity for us to have a significant gift under the tree for Jesus.  During the months of November and December we will be receiving your financial gifts that will be divided between the Prison Ministry and the Career Ministry.   Your gifts to Jesus will help us be the hands and feet of Jesus.  We will provide bibles and resources to those in prison and help those seeking a job to find one.  What a great gift for many!  What a way to be truly kingdom people.

Sunday, December 19 during Worship

During our worship on Sunday the 19th, our children will retell the Christmas story in a way only they can do!  We will have a rehearsal for those who can attend, on Wednesday, December, 15 at 6:30pm.  If your children can not attend, don’t worry, the program is designed in such a way that all children who attend on Sunday morning will be invited to join the program.  Families will be asked to provide a costume for their child(ren) based on what role they will be playing.  However, we encourage these costumes to be VERY simple.  Anything you have around the house will work perfectly, even a sign that says what they are!  We look forward to a great event!  Contact:  Rev. Tuesday, Dec 21, 6pm

Our guest for this service is Rev. Ken Cross, Director of the Atlanta -Marietta District Counseling Service.  Rev. Cross brings a special expertise in dealing with the many issues that we face during the holidays.

Christmas can be a painful time for some.  The constant refrain about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, reminds many people of what they have lost, or have never had. The anguish of broken relationships, the insecurity of unemployment, the weariness of ill health, the pain of isolation—all these can make us feel very alone in the midst of the celebrating and spending.

We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern, and to know that we are not alone. Our spirits sink, as days grow shorter and we feel the darkness deeper around us. We need encouragement to live the days ahead of us.

For those reasons Fields Chapel offers a special “Blue Christmas” or “Longest Night” service on Tuesday evening, December 21st at 6:00pm.

Come and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, scripture and music that acknowledge that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle—and that God’s Word comes to shine light into our darkness.

Goshen Valley Boys Ranch

GOSHEN VALLEY BOYS RANCH (http://www NULL.goshenvalley

We are blessed to be in partnership with The Ranch that provides hope and a family-model home for 24 boys who do not have either.  We continue to support The Ranch in a variety of ways.  This Christmas is no exception…

If you have any questions about this ministry, please contact Darrell at (goshenvalley null@null fieldschapel Valley Boys Ranch ministry)

The boys at The Ranch loved our stockings stuffers last year!  Let us make it another great Christmas for the boys.  The stockings will be provided by The Ranch…we fill them!  Pick a boys name, or two, from our list and fill a gallon size zip lock bag with stocking stuffers, spending no more than $30.  Add a personalized, fun, Christmas card from you and your family.  The gifts need to be at The Chapel, by Wed, Dec 15.

Gifts can include…ball cap, t-shirt, watch, toothbrush, deodorant, candy, bible etc.,

How many Christmas cards does your family receive each year?  The boys at The Ranch don’t get many.  But you can change that!  Please take the list of boys names provided at The Chapel and write a personal Christmas card to each boy.  Cards need to be at The Chapel, by Sunday morning, Dec 19.

The James House is a facility at The Ranch that provides space for tutoring and housing guests and work teams.  The facility is built, however it needs to be furnished to meet the various needs.  As a Christmas gift to the entire Ranch, we are collecting funds to help furnish the James House.  Your gifts will be received anytime!  Contact:  Terri at (christmas null@null fieldschapel House Ministry)

Sunday, December 19, 5pm

On Sunday evening Dec 19 will join the families and staff of the ranch for Christmas worship service followed by a Christmas party at The Ranch.  We will gather at The James House and our children from The Chapel will perform the Christmas Story at the service.  Afterward we will have a party with cookies and punch that we will be providing.  Your presence, your cookies, your punch are welcomed and needed!  What a great Christmas gift to the boys at The Ranch.
